Each year, from May until late September, American flags adorn street light posts throughout the town of Albion, beautifying the streets while expressing our community's pride in our great country.
The Star and Stripes are made possible by sponsorships, a tradition that offers an opportunity to community members and organizations to honor veterans and loved ones. All honorees and memorialized names are published in the Albion New Era in the spring. Flyers with names listed are posted on bulletin boards and in store front windows throughout town. Names are also listed on this website.
The cost is $50 per flag.
The Albion Chamber of Commerce, American Legion Post 246, Noble REMC, and area citizens have helped bring dozens of American flags to fly in Albion each year for more than 18 years!
