Stars & Stripes expanded in 2026

From Memorial Day to Veterans Day, American flags adorn the street light posts throughout Albion, Indiana. They demonstrate our patriotic pride and let the county seat shine!

In 2026, as we celebrate America's 250th Anniversary, Albion's Stars & Stripes program is expanding! Made possible by the community, this local tradition offers an opportunity to honor veterans and loved ones by sponsoring a flag - and upgrading sponsorship to add a customized HOMETOWN HEROES poster. (See design sample at right.)

Visitors can view a list of those honored and remembered in storefront windows and on the Albion Chamber of Commerce website. HOMETOWN HEROES posters will also be displayed in storefront and business windows in downtown Albion from Memorial Day through Veterans Day.

Sponsorships are $50 for a flag only (includes flag and hardware) and $85 for a flag PLUS a HOMETOWN HEROES poster.
